OUR APPROACH

As we go forward Ingrained Foundation is taking an interconnected, holistic approach, guided by our theory of change, to supporting the unique systemic transformation required to achieve a regenerative region with thriving communities.

Our focus is to facilitate and resource deep collaboration and capacity building, by investing in, walking alongside and promoting initiatives and organisations that are improving social and environmental wellbeing.

“It is impossible to really see the unity of the universe as long as one continues to see oneself as a discrete object, separate and distinguishable from the rest of the universe in any way, shape, or form.”

– Scott Peck, The Road Less Traveled

DEEP COLLABORATION

Systemic change requires deep cross-sectoral collaboration to identify and understand intersectional and interconnecting factors. By maximising resources, learning from and listening to a diversity of perspectives we can tackle the complex issues that face our community.

CAPACITY BUILDING

Grassroots not-for-profits are on the ground and deeply embedded in our community. They have an acute understanding of the issues faced and also, how they can be improved. A key role we play as a Foundation is facilitating their work by developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources of the team and the organisation, so they are best placed to make sustainable impact.

OUR WORK

Over the past five years, we have given $471k to 40+ not-for-profits.

  • Our multi-year partnerships approach facilitates deeper impact and better outcomes by taking a longer-term approach.

We are looking forward to establishing Indigenous Cultural Initiative Partnerships and a three year Thriving Community Partnership in 2024 with aligned not-for-profits. Their intention is to provide both skill, capacity support and security of funding.

This way of working is something we are excited to be moving towards as we look to deepen our impact and better support grassroots not-for-profits.

  • As extreme events continue to occur and at increasing rates, we have the ability to work with existing community partners to provide immediate relief funding and/or volunteering when and where it’s needed most.

Having been a part of the relief efforts of the devastating 2017 and 2022 floods, along with the 2019 fires that ravaged our region, we can help. During those disasters and in partnership with Stone & Wood Brewing, we were able to raise over $224k, direct funds to where it was needed and help out on the ground.

  • We believe in the value of learning, growing and connecting together. That is why we setting up Our Place, a space that can be your place too!

Originally intended as our office and despite being humble, it is more than what we need, so we would like to offer it to our local not-for-profits and community groups who may need a desk, a place to hold an operational meeting, a workshop or sit and have a cup of tea.
