Raising the voice of the Clarence river

An adventurous tale of two lifelong friends Hayley Talbot and Dan Ross - Rivertree Film is the story of their journey as they set off on a long-distance paddle down the Clarence River.

The film sheds light on the urgent need to safeguard our most precious resource - water. It is a journey of community, connection and kin, and is a story that celebrates the Clarence River (Biirrinba, Boorimbah) and a grassroots movement to save the lifeblood of the valley.

“Freshwater, saltwater people, old and new, black and white, we are all river people, she connects us all. We are the custodians and stewards of our great rivers, and now we must stand together, all of us, our united voices have the power to move like the river when it comes out into the ocean.” - Aunty Lenore Parker, Yaegl Elder and narrator of Rivertree Film.
