2024 Northern Rivers Grants Recipients
We are excited to announce the recipients of our 2024 Grants Program, where we will donate over $160,000 to eight local not-for-profits.
In line with our vision of creating a regenerative region with thriving communities, we will be supporting a range of initiatives that improve both social and environmental wellbeing.
“Grassroots not-for-profits are stepping in and playing a vital role by being the cornerstones of our community, building resilience and supporting those who are most vulnerable, including women and children," says Jasmin Daly.
The recipients of the 2024 Grants Program are:
Country as Teacher - Bundjalung Ngalawaa Bulaan Gii Youth Leadership Initiative
Bringing together First Nations youth from across Bundjalung Country to (re)connect with and learn from Country through a multi-day leadership camp, the initiative will empower young people through Culture and guided development into emerging peer mentors.

To ensure our young people are supported and inspired to be our future leaders with self respect, community values and strong cultural knowledge.” - Delta Kay
The Family Support Network - Parenting Under Pressure Program
Providing programs and services for children, young people and families, Parenting Under Pressure is an evidence-based program that provide’s intensive support to families facing difficult life circumstances.

Santos Organics – Grow the Grower Program
Santos’ vision is to cultivate a thriving Northern Rivers food system by supporting emerging and established local organic and regenerative farmers. Ingrained funding will support 7-10 local regenerative farmers to receive organic certification, networking, mentoring and access to market opportunities.
"We are so thankful to Ingrained Foundation for recognising the importance of supporting local farmers to adopt sustainable farming practices through organic and regenerative certification. The funding provided to the Santos Organics Grow the Growers Project acknowledges the vital role of organic and regenerative farmers in creating a resilient local food system while caring for the land and supporting biodiversity in the Northern Rivers."
The Returning - Indigenous Strong, Safe and Supported Families in Postpartum Program
This pilot is taking an interconnected approach to delivering workshops for Indigenous Aunties, Sisters and Elders to build community capacity in providing nourishing meals and support for pregnant and postpartum Indigenous women on Bundjalung Country.
Women Up North - Love Bites
Providing young people with the knowledge needed to have respectful relationships and to understand the meaning of consent and enjoy positive relationships, Ingrained is supporting the roll out of the Love Bites program to highschool students across Lismore, Nimbin, Casino, Kyogle and Woodenbong.

RizeUp – Safe Homes, Brighter Futures Initiative
RizeUp works with community services across the Northern Rivers to turn empty houses into homes free from violence. Ingrained’s funding will support 3 women and 8+ children to move into fully furnished houses tailored to each family's needs, giving them the fresh start they need.
“Foundations like Ingrained are vital in enabling us to deliver critical support to those escaping domestic and family violence (DFV). We recognise the journey to escape such violence is long and challenging, but with your support and in seeing the value in our mission, we are confident in our ability to create safe, comfortable beginnings for those who have endured the extreme hardship of DFV. Your generosity and belief in our work are truly appreciated, and we are profoundly grateful for your partnership in making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve."
Regen Northern Rivers by It Takes a Town
This initiative will bring together and leverage the cross-sectoral work involved in regeneration, resilience-building, climate adaptation, social wellbeing, philanthropy and government planning, for long-term benefit of the region.

Northern Rivers Performing Arts (NORPA) – Wildskin Design Set Initiative
In preparation for their production of Wildskin in September, Ingrained is supporting NORPA to engage a Northern Rivers-based creative to develop a zero-waste set and costume design, canvasing a new approach for the industry going forward and acting as a regional case study for the Theatre Green Book Australia.
“NORPA is excited about the opportunity this grant provides our theatre making process and outcomes. Wildskin is about reinvention, and NORPA’s signature projects always include social engagement. We can now invest in a set and prop design process, led by ecologically engaged interdisciplinary artist Charlotte Haywood that prioritises renewables, upcycling and waste awareness. It will be fantastic to draw our community into the conversation and exploring better ways to produce sustainable theatre.” - Libby Lincoln, Executive Director
