MURBAH OPEN DAY RAISES $25,000 FOR WEDGETAIL RETREAT

After another Saturday of music, food and fresh beer poured straight from the source, we’re thrilled to announce that our community has helped us raise $25,000 for Tweed Palliative Support & Wedgetail Retreat through Stone & Wood’s Murwillumbah Open Day.

For the third year running, on Saturday 30 March, Stone & Wood opened their brewery gates for Murwillumbah Open Day – a daylight festival of live music, food trucks, markets stalls and beer, and an occasion for members of the Northern Rivers community and its surrounds to connect in support of Wedgetail Retreat.

Despite storm clouds and light rains, a determined crowd of 1,500 thrummed throughout the Murwillumbah site, with a consistent line of visitors filing through the brewery to check out the bottling-line action. Kids decked out in costumes and flower crowns brought the Malt Disney kids area to life, while friends and families shared beers and laughs around the open-air space.

Alongside a happy crowd, the team at Wedgetail Retreat held a stall where visitors could buy a slice of cake or a sausage sandwich as a donation to the organisation. Meanwhile, their passionate crew members collected donations both at their stall and the brewery entrance.

A day for connection, we were thrilled again to hang out with our local community and see visitors from the Northern Rivers and beyond spending time together. We’d like to thank everyone who went to Murbah Open Day. Stone & Wood and the inGrained Foundation look forward to supporting Wedgetail Retreat for years to come.
