Northern Rivers Large Grants Program 2019 Announced at Stone & Wood Brewery 8 March.jpeg

Local charities could benefit from a share of $60,000 in funding by mid-year, thanks to our inaugural public grants round, the Northern Rivers Large Grants Program 2019 – launching Monday 18 March.

We were thrilled to announce this at our first-ever fundraising Golf Day on Friday 8 March, attended by some 18 local businesses who helped us raise over $10,000 for the Large Grants Program 2019. The Grants Program invites Northern Rivers social and environmental not-for-profits with DGR status to apply for a grant between $15,000 and $30,000. We’ll award up to four grants in total in May.

The focus for the Grants Program is ‘creating connection’ – so, we’re asking applicants to address in detail how their project/s strengthen our community by doing this. We feel that, regardless of the need, cultivating a connected community as an outcome is at the heart of creating meaningful change. We wish for these grants to help our hard-working local not-for-profits to build and strengthen their capacity for future generations.

With Murwillumbah Open Day 2019 just around the corner, which last year raised over $30,000 for our friends at the Wedgetail Retreat via the Foundation, we’re really excited about the upcoming year’s potential, and look forward to receiving applications and connecting with local change-makers.

Applications for Northern Rivers not-for-profits with DGR status open Monday 18 March and close 18 April, so start preparing your application today!
